Compared to a Harmon Kardon, Logitech, or other high priced subwoofer system the sound isn't really that great. If you can find them on sale for say, $9.99, that's even better. I recently bought a pair at Fry's and for the money they're ok. But what would you expect for under $20. I just needed a pair for a small apartment and they fit the bill. I use them to listen to music and watch movies on my Mac Mini and they're fine for that. They're fine for using with an iPod or other portable too. They would not make a good "main" sound system though.
Speakers are ok, nothing spectacular. But they are exactly what you would expect from a set that costs this little.I needed some cheap speakers for some music at my office during the day, and these fit the bill perfectly.I would recommend them to anyone looking to fill a niche like that.
My kids use these speakers with their Zunes and they seem to have great sound. I've even had to tell them to "turn it down". Great price, also.
The sound quality was not that great either. I bought these speakers for a christmas gift for my sister,s iPod and portable CD player. A big lack of bass. The speakers worked good until now. There is a buzzing noise and they won't play anything from the iPod. I would recommend the 2.1 speakers with a sub. They would sound a lot better and last longer.
